Toll discounts for diesel engines come to an end

In the next few weeks, the Catalan government will eliminate the discounts on motorway tolls for diesel engines. The decision to get rid of the discounts was made at the end of last year when it became apparent that diesel engines pollute more than was believed. The government wanted to start the measure on Jan 1, but had to reach agreement first with the State traffic department.
