Why did you leave Catalonia?
Because I wanted to become a professional writer and I thought this was the perfect country.
Why did you choose Iceland?
Jules Verne said the hole in the centre of the Earth is there and nature inspires me a lot.
How long have you lived there?
Since July 2013.
Are you happy with the job opportunities you found in your adoptive country?
Yes. Finding a job is easy. I combine my writing (third novel and my blog) with some other jobs.
What do you think is the best thing about living in Iceland?
The unspoiled nature and the freedom for children. I use my bike as a means of transport all year round
What do you consider the highlights for any brief visit for the first time?
Landmannalaugar and Snæfellsnes.
And if visitors have more time or make a return visit?
The West Fiords and south coast until Skaftafell. I recommend going on a trek.
What do you miss most from home?
I miss walking around Barcelona. No one walks in Iceland (in the cities).

Some suggestions

M. Àngels Ribas
Can you recommend a place to have lunch with friends?
Pylsa (hot dog) in Bæjatins Bezto Pylsur near Harpa.
Where would you have a special dinner for two?
Lækjarbrekka, romantic and traditional, Snaps (bistrot), or Apotec, more elegant.
When is the best time of year to plan a visit?
June,July and August.
What is the best kept secret about the area?
Not driving around the Ring Road. In summer, the road from south to north (KJALVEGUR), that crosses the island, is open.
