US denies disagreement with South Korea

US vice-president, Mike Pence, said his trip to South Korea had served to strengthen the alliance with Seoul and Tokyo to maintain “maximum pressure” on the North Korean regime of Kim Jong-un, regardless of any thawing in relations between the two Koreas. The vice-President denied that the proposed meeting between the Korean presidents was not a cause of concern for the US.
