US studying “new options” on Syria after latest attacks

US President Barack Obama has asked his government to submit “new options” on Syria following the failure of negotiations with Russia to end more than five years of war. The two world powers are very far apart on their positions regarding the Middle Eastern country and accusations are now escalating. US Secretary of State John Kerry threatened to freeze negotiations on Wednesday, while yesterday Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Riabkov said the US has “a policy of blackmail and threats that only favours its clients.”
