Trump refuses to promise to accept election result
American democracy is based on very clear foundations, the model and paradigm for which is supposed to be the will of the people. Accepting the election results is part of this: the loser always congratulates the winner and remains at the service of the country in the name of the common good.
However, for a few months now US politics has been turned upside down by Donald Trump, who left Hillary Clinton indignant in the latest debate by raising doubts over whether he would accept defeat on the night of November 8, should that be the outcome.
