Serra and Todó to go to trial in Caixa Catalonia case

The Court of Barcelona has confirmed that the former president and former CEO of Caixa Catalonia, Narcís Serra and Adolf Todó, are to be tried for approving their own bonuses when the organisation was in crisis and being maintained with public money in 2010. The 39 members of the board who approved the salary increase will also be tried. The defence teams claim that their clients were not aware they were violating any rules and that the agreement was merely to bring managers' salaries in line.
