Catalonia to trial AIDS prevention pill in 2017
In response to demands by the Gays against HIV Platform that the government provide at-risk groups with the Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) pill, which prevents infection and has already been approved by the European Medicines Agency but is not available in Spain, Catalan Minister of Health Antoni Comín yesterday announced that a trial implementation would take place during 2017.
