Art historian identifies origins of Gothic retable

The origins of a 15th century Gothic retable held at the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC) since 1932 have been identified by art historian Alberto Velasco. Unlike many other examples which were unscrupulously taken to pieces, this retable of Saint Barbara and scenes from her life remains whole. Velasco's investigation reveals it came from the church of Lledó in Aragón.
