Rents go up in 2016 by 27%, highest in Spain
Rents prices have shot through the roof with no sign of the rise slowing. Last year, rents rose 26.8% in Catalonia, the highest in Spain, where the average rise was 15.9%. The figures come from the website of the Idealista estate agents, based on the prices in their ads. According to the report, rent prices in Catalonia are well above even Madrid, where the increase last year was 18%.
