The time for winning draws near

The Palau Sant Jordi was yesterday at the epicentre of a new demonstration of the public will to carry Catalonia to independence, which right now is no solution for the problems of the population but rather the only real possibility of survival for a thousand-year political community that the Spanish state has decided to eliminate through legal, cultural and linguistic assimilation. The independence demonstration was yesterday more proof that no alternative to national freedom currently has a similar capacity of mobilisation and that this capacity of mobilisation, of mobilisation and constructive common sense, is persistant in time and
constant in its claims.

The citizens of Catalonia have the power to decide their future in the short term, in the elections announced for September 27, but which have not yet been officially convoked. There is no other solution, because the only alternative solution possible would be a binding referendum, which the Spanish state has made clear it will not allow. Every day that goes by, each month without being able to create a new state, infringes the freedoms of Catalans. National freedoms, but also social freedoms, which require the efficient management of the resources generated through work and the country's wealth creation. Yesterday in the Palau Sant Jordi, in a sense, no campaign for the process was reactivated, because the process had never been deactivated. What happened was that the firing gun was fired on elections that have to be definitive. Once more, the public has shown the
way forward. Now we need politics to live up to expectations.
