Exports from Catalonia up 2% to 65 billion euros

Catalonia exported 65.1 billion euros of goods in 2016, a new record. The figure accounts for some 25.6% of all Spanish exports, well above the 11.3% and 11.1% of Valencia and Madrid, respectively. Exports grew by 2% compared to 2015, a lower percentage than in other years but higher than the state average of 1.7% and the Eurozone average of 0.7%, as well as Germany's 1.2% increase in exports.
