CaixaForum hosts exhibition on medieval Europe
CaixaForum Barcelona is providing visitors with a taste of medieval Europe with the exhibition The pillars of Europe, organised jointly with the British Museum. One of the most valuable pieces is a king from a set of four magnificent medieval chess sets, made of walrus ivory and originally from Norway. Some of the figures from these sets appear in a scene from the first Harry Potter film.
