Prison sentence for anti-Catalan tweets

Two years after the plane crash in the Alps that killed 150 people, a Twitter user has been sentenced to eight months in prison for posting a xenophobic tweet mocking Catalan victims of the tragedy. In the first case of Catalanophobia to be tried in Catalonia, the defendant was convicted of an offence against basic human rights. The ruling took into account other similar tweets.
