Alzheimer study of Down syndrome sufferers launches
The Memory Unit of the Sant Pau hospital's neurology department has joined the Fundació “La Caixa” to launch a three-year study of 1,000 Down syndrome sufferers. The study aims to detect early signs of Alzheimer's. The Projecte Down Alzheimer Barcelona Neuroimaging Initiative was presented yesterday by officials and representatives of families of Down syndrome sufferers.
