London threatens to suspend Ulster autonomy

The UK government yesterday gave the Northern Irish parties more time to negotiate the formation of a power-sharing executive, but said it could suspend its autonomy if no agreement is reached in the coming weeks. The warning could come into effect after Easter, the deadline imposed for the Democratic Unionist Party and Sinn Fein to settle their differences and end yet another political crisis affecting the province. UK PM Theresa May will continue to be actively involved in the negotiations.
