Summer is the ideal time to remember one of the craziest periods of the 20th century; the seventies was full of fun and optimism, with a natural and relaxed glamour. Etro, Valentino, Alberta Ferreti and Gucci are some of the labels that have raided their archives to come up with a new chic recalling hippies and disco. Flared trousers (remember John Travolta as Tony Manero?), floral and ethnic patterns, sequins, long dresses, metallic tones, Roman sandals and fringes will all be popular this season.
