The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, has warned that Europe should not put its future in the hands of others, in a clear reference to the US, following last week’s G7 meeting in Sicily. Following the failure of most countr¡es to find common ground with the new US Trump administration. Merkel said “Those times when we could completely put our trust in others have come to an end.”
