Macron shows harmony with Merkel at summit
“Europe is not just a project, it is an ambition that I have defended throughout the election campaign,” said French President Emmanuel Macron at the European summit in Brussels yesterday. Despite being a newcomer to the club, the French head of state has shown he is in harmony with German Chancellor Angela Merkel at a time when the EU is calling for unity in face of the Brexit challenge.
