Two to face court for €517,088 embezzlement
Two people accused of robbing an elderly man of €517,088 from the sale of his assets will face a Barcelona court tomorrow. The prosecutor will ask that Rosa Maria Cerdán and Felipe Martínez be sentenced to five years in prison for fraud and embezzlement. The couple were aided in the theft by the man’s sister-in-law who falsely obtained power of attorney. She died in 2009.
