Beijing calls for restraint from US in conflict
After days of threats in an escalating war of words between Washington and Pyongyang, Chinese President Xi Jinping yesterday called for “restraint” from his US counterpart, Donald Trump, in order to prevent further tension on the Korean peninsula. An ally of North Korea, Xi called Trump to urge him to avoid “actions that increase nuclear tensions”.
