Theresa May looks to reclaim power in UK Conservative party

The British Prime Minister, Theresa May, has come back from holidays keen to hold on to power and silence her critics who have been looking for her replacement. The Conservative party lost faith in her after losing the absolute majority in the elections of June the 8th, which increased the internal divisions between those looking for a hard Brexit or a soft one. Furthermore, the elections revived the fortunes of Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour opposition, who had been lost in the wilderness prior to the general election results. May has her work cut out.
