At least two dead after earthquake hits Italian island

Almost a year after the earthquake that struck Amatrice and other parts of central Italy, the country was again plunged into fear with a new tremor that hit between Monday night and Tuesday, leaving at least two dead and 41 wounded. This time the quake shook the tourist island of Ischia in the Gulf of Naples. The epicentre of the quake, which measured 4 on the Richter scale, was felt by Casamicciola, where the town centre was destroyed and numerous buildings were reduced to rubble.
