IOC set to ratify Paris 2024 and LA 2028 today

The Assembly of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will vote in Lima today on the ratification of the tripartite agreement between the body and the cities of Paris and Los Angeles, the respective venues for the 2024 and 2028 Olympics. An almost unanimous vote is expected in favour of the unprecedented pact, which comes with no other cities having presented a candidacy after Tokyo 2020. The IOC has decided to reflect on why so few countries now want to organise the Games.
