Diplocat warns freedoms being repressed

The Council for the Public Diplomacy of Catalonia (Diplocat) has sent its network of political contacts, think tanks, international academics and more than a thousand media journalists from around the world a report that warns of the Spanish state’s repression of the freedoms of press, expression and meeting in Catalonia in the lead-up to 1-O. Among other criticisms, the document denounces “the violation of and threat to civil rights” due to police officers being sent to printers and media offices.
