Trades unions call for respect for institutions
The CCOO, UGT and UP (Unió de Pagesos) unions yesterday demanded respect for Catalan institutions after Spanish prime minister Mariano Rajoy announced that Article 155 of the Constitution would be applied. The trades unions said they were in favour of a “solution” before the Spanish Senate votes on the measures to suspend Catalonia’s self-government.
