New campaign to prevent driving distractions
The Catalan traffic service this week launches a new campaign of police checkpoints aimed at preventing distractions while driving. In particular, the campaign will focus on distractions caused by mobile phone use or television and video screens. Such distractions are having tragic consequences on Catalonia’s roads, with distractions being a key factor in 237 road accidents last year.
