Taxi drivers call off protest due to political situation
One of Catalonia’s major taxi drivers associations Elite, has called off its go-slow protest against the incursion of Uber and Cabify in the granting of nearly 3,000 new VTC licenses which was planned for Monday. The decision was made on Friday due to the current political situation in Catalonia as drivers felt their action could be interpreted as a protest supporting one side or the other.
