24-year-old wins donation-funded scholarship
A graduate in biomedicine from the University of Barcelona Elena Meléndez Esteban, 24, has won the 1st doctoral scholarship awarded by the Institute of Biomedical Research (IRB) funded by private donations to train young scientists. The grant, “IRB Barcelona Futur”, is for €20,000 per year over four years was awarded to the students who had the highest selection score.
