Companies considering shifts for D-21 elections
Workers may absent themselves from the workplace for four hours to vote but many companies are looking to establish shifts so that normal business is not prejudiced. Elections in Catalonia are usually held on Sundays but the December 21 vote will fall on a Thursday. Many people are employed outside the their towns of residence and shifts may benefit both worker and employer.
