Brown claims that UK was misled by US about Iraq

The UK “was misled” by the US about the alleged nuclear arsenal of Saddam Hussein’s regime, meaning that the invasion of Iraq in 2003 “was not be justified”, concludes former UK PM Gordon Brown in his autobiography My Life, Our Times which goes on sale tomorrow. Brown, who was then Chancellor of the Exchequer concludes that “the invasion was not a proportionate response.”
