Santander buys Polish subsidiary of Deutsche Bank
Banco Santander and its subsidiary Bank Zachodni WBK, yesterday agreed to purchase the retail and private banking division of Deutsche Bank Polska, excluding its portfolio of mortgages and DB Securities for an estimated €305 million. The bank informed the Spanish market supervisor, CNMV, that this purchase “will strengthen the position in Zachodni WBK, the 3rd largest in Poland.
