Fair Trade sector registers big increase in sale
Sales in the Fair Trade sector in Spain in 2016 exceeded €40 million, a 14% increase on the previous year. The figures were presented at the the annual Fair Trade and Responsible Consumption event in Barcelona. According to Septem, despite this growth, Spain continues to lag “in relation to the sale of Fair Trade in other EU countries”, where average consumption is €13.7 per person per year.
