Number of cases of flu triple in just one week
Catalonia has already begun the annual flu epidemic. The 248 cases per 100,000 of the population far exceeds the barrier set at 109.4 to be officially declared an epidemic. The result has been an increased activity recorded over the last week in hospitals and primary care centers, which are once again near the limit of their capacity. The annual flu epidemic lasts from eight to 12 weeks.
