Arrels helps 50% more homeless than 5 years ago

The Fundació Arrels, which is dedicated to aiding homeless people in the city of Barcelona, last year assisted nearly 2,000 people, a figure similar to the previous year, but an increase of 5% if compared with five years ago. In a press release, Arrels also said that 675 people had requested their services for the first time. The foundation’s main shelter which provided basic services last year assisted, 1,518 people. Last year Arrels opened a new centre, Pis Zero, to aid the homeless with poor health.
