Catalonia tops ranking in self- employed
In December 2017 there were 546,807 registered self-employed in Catalonia in the Special Scheme for Self-Employed (RETA), representing an increase of 0.1% (459) with respect to 2016 and while it is not the highest increase in Spain’s autonomous regions, Catalonia still tops the national ranking for most self-employed, most in the service sector. Women count for 35.5% of the total.
