Arab League seeks funding for Palestine
The secretary general of the Arab League, Ahmed Abulgueit, yesterday asked the Arab countries to raise funds to support the Palestinians after the US lowered its contributions to the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA). He said it was not possible to support the population with “words and wishes” at a conference organised by Al-Azhar.
