Kurds will not attend Russian summit in Sochi

Syria’s main Kurdish groups have not yet received a final invite to a peace congress scheduled to take place in Russia next week and will not attend while the Turkish assault on Afrin continues, a Kurdish official said. The Kurds see Russia as an ally of the Turks. The attack on the city of Afrin began one week ago and just yesterday the Ain Dara temple was destroyed in an air raid.
