80% of health apps put user data at risk

Some 80% of Android health apps do not comply with basic security measures to avoid the abuse of sensitive user data. That is according to a European study, with the participation of the Rovira i Virgili university, to analyse the 20 most popular health apps, some of which have up to 10 million downloads. The research also shows a lack of concern about security from many developers.
