New controversy over Glories contracting
The Barcelona City Council has decided to reopen the tender for the tunnel to pass below the plaça de les Glòries which has been stalled since June last year after numerous technical setbacks brought an end to the contract the builders who had won the original tender. The new tender was divided into five batches to prevent one company from taking the complete contract.
