Tabàrnia parody draws 15,000 people

The independence lampoon by the Tabàrnia group yesterday in the streets of central Barcelona, which left from the Rafael Casanova monument and marched to plaça Sant Jaume under the banner “The joke is over”, drew 15,000 people, according to the police. The march, which was originally planned for 25 but postponed, had a festive tone and different organizations, including the far-right Vox union laid wreaths at the monument. “Casanovas was an illustrious and patriotic Spaniard and a Tabàner,” claimed the spokesman, Jaime Vives. The platform’s president, Miguel Martinez said “we are a mirror of responsibility faced with the absurdity of the arguments for independence.”
