Dead whale washes up on Montgat beach

The body of a whale washed up on Montgat beach yesterday. Government experts say it was a young animal, 13 metres in length and weighing 12 tonnes. The whale was first seen by locals at about 8am, who reported seeing “something strange floating” in the sea. The whale later washed up on shore. Experts will now look into how the whale died and how it ended up on the Maresme coast.
