Lleida begins removal of storks from Cathedral
Five nests being built by storks along the façade of the Seu Nova (Cathedral of Lleida) are being removed due to the risk posed to the citizens and the possibility of falling. The storks began building the nests in various parts of the building and the preventative systems which were installed in February in the towers and roof have not proved to be successful. With nesting season about to start it was decided to anticipate future problems and begin removal while trying to find suitable alternatives.
