Thrombosis test could save 70% of cancer sufferers

The main cause of death in cancer patients –apart from the disease– is thrombosis. To tackle this problem, yesterday a new diagnostic tool was presented that could prevent from 50% to 70% of these cases, say researchers from eight different hospitals, among which is the Sant Pau hospital in Barcelona. The details of the new test where published in the British Journal of Cancer.
