Democrats and Republicans agree
Democrats and Republicans agreed yesterday to a budget of €1,056 billion, including a large increase for the Pentagon and the payment for part of the wall which would separate the US from Mexico.. The agreement guarantees funds until September and is part of a global budget agreement for two years that both parties signed in February. Now it is up to Congress and then the Senate to approve the proposal before midnight so that the administration does not run out of funds and incur the third partial closure since January. The agreement makes no specific mention of the “dreamers”, children born in the US to, or who were taken into the US by illegal immigrants who now consider themselves Americans, despite claims by the Democrats that they are included. Trump’s intention is to expel these young people along with their parents. The budget gives a substantial increase to the Penatgon.
