Venezuelan president will not attend summit
Nicolás Maduro has confirmed he will not attend the Summit of the Americas in Lima, Peru. Speaking in a rally in Caracas, Maduro said he instead will commemorate the defeat of the coup d’état against Hugo Chávez.. Maduro criticised the aggressive attitude of right-wing governments in Latin America which support the interventionist policy of the US towards Venezuela.
