Body bullying
Envy, insecurities and the need to be accepted by a group can at times lead some teenagers to harass, or bully, other classmates. The results, quite often, are devastating The bully was perhaps once a victim of other bullies and will go to extremes to put an end to his or her own mockery.
All these feelings and emotions are seen in No one wants to dance with me, a performance featuring women from 15 to 20 years of age aimed at young audiences. The director of the young company Som-hi Dansa, Laura Olivella currently offers a space for reflection in Catalan schools and colleges, rounded off with a symposium conducted by two therapists from the Psychoanalysis working group and the Catalan College of Psychologists. The dancers are personally committed to their roles which they understand can help change lives.
