Largarde calls for US to cut deficit and reduce debt
The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde, yesterday urged the government of US President, Donald Trump, to “reduce the deficit and reduce the debt,” within the framework of the country’s improved economic outlook. The IMF has raised the growth estimate for the US to 2.9% in 2018 but warns of excessive stimulus.
