ETA hands over arms stash to French police
ETA yesterday handed over two boxes containing weapons to the French authorities. The prosecutor’s office in Bayonne received an anonymous call in which a person informed the authorities of the location of the boxes, containing 20 handguns and bomb making material. The handover comes just before the Basque terrorist organisation will formally disband on May 4.
