Can Vies: case against Mossos goes to trial

Seven Catalan police officers accused of assault by three protesters during disturbances as the Mossos d’Esquadra removed squatters from the Can Vies centre in Barcelona in May 2014, went on trial yesterday. The officers claimed they were not involved in the arrests and simply dispersed other protesters. The three accusers were convicted of aggression after the disturbances.
