Mataro’s “smart textiles” get EU grant of €1m
The European Regional Development Fund will allocate €951,857 to the Mataro-Maresme Territorial Specialisation and Competitiveness Project (PECT) to boost the intelligent-textile sector. PECT provides specialised tools and innovation applied to existing and emerging activities. The aim is to revitalise the textile industry with the latest technologies including local research centres.
